The Venue

Strangelove's is a lively craft beer bar and gastropub known for its vibrant social atmosphere and whimsical art-adorned interior. The second-floor loft space where our Samhain Ball is being held features a private, fully-stocked bar (complete with a licensed bartender), comfortable seating, free vintage arcade games, a pool table, and darts.

Located at the edge of Center City, free parking is almost nonexistent. However, the Hamilton Parking Lot (Jefferson Hospital) is directly across the street and costs about $30 for the night. Ride-shares, drop-offs, and public transit are also feasible options.

Food

Our event will feature in-house catering. Our Samhain buffet consists of:

*Chicken Piccata - organic chicken breast sautéed in lemon butter sauce with parsley.

*Vineyard Salmon - marinated Atlantic salmon with lemon and dill. Broiled to perfection. Served with rice.

*Assorted Vegetable Tray - carrots, sliced tomato, celery, broccoli, and cauliflower with buttermilk ranch dressing.

Drinks

Cash-bar. Attendees must pay for their own bar beverages. You can choose to start a tab, or purchase drinks individually. The Strangelove's bartenders are highly experienced and can craft you virtually anything you desire. Tipping your bartender is common courtesy.

Free water and apple cider will also be provided at the buffet table. 

Ritual

The heart of this event is our annual Samhain ritual. Please bring any photos of your dearly departed that you would like to place on the altar for the night. What is remembered, lives.

Costume Contest

As in years past, we will be holding an optional costume contest. Winners (1st, 2nd, and 3rd places) will be selected by a randomized panel of attendees, and a prize will be included with each trophy.

Raffle

A single raffle ticket is included with every event ticket purchase. They will be drawn from a box at the end of the night. Multiple prizes will be up for grabs. To keep things fair, additional raffle tickets will not be sold. As the winners are chosen, their tickets will be removed from the drawing box.
