SSC Samhain Witches Ball 2024

Date: Saturday, October 19th, 2024

Location: Haven Hall - 3528 Wharton Street, Second Floor

Time: 8:00pm - Midnight

Join us, the South Street Circle, as we celebrate the "Witches New Year" and the thinning of the veil between worlds!

Samhain Ritual: the ritual will be taking place mid-ball. Please feel free to bring photos of your beloved dead to be placed upon the altar. Offerings in the forms of flowers, autumn fruits, or soul-cakes are also welcomed, though not at all required.

Costume Contest: costumes are mandatory for this event, but participation in the contest is optional. Trophies (and prizes) will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The winners will be chosen by a randomly selected judge's panel, and their victory photos will be included in the winter issue of The Philly Pentacle (with permission, of course).

Raffle: Various magickal prizes will be raffled off at the end of the night. Each attendee will receive one automatic entry with the purchase of their ticket, but additional raffle tickets may also be purchased if desired.

Food & Beverage: there will be a self-serve buffet style food table. Apple cider, water, and soda will also be available. All these things are included with the ticket purchase.

Psychic Readings: there will be a psychic reader stationed in the back of the hall. Tipping the reader is highly encouraged. Reciprocity, folks.

*Please Note: this is NOT a large-scale commercial event, but rather a small, authentic gathering of local witches that emphasizes unity, community, ancestral veneration, and fun. If you are looking for a more grandiose setting, this is not it. As a non-profit event, all monies raised through ticket sales are allocated towards the venue rental, decorations, and refreshments. Space is quite limited (40 people maximum) so get your tickets now!
